District administration alert regarding Muharram festival, DC-SP visited the area to maintain law and order

Bokaro:- The district administration is fully alert regarding Muharram festival*. Various sensitive places of the district are being monitored through CCTV cameras from the District Composite Control Room. On Sunday, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ajay Nath Jha and Superintendent of Police (SP) Harvinder Singh took information about the law and order so far from the magistrates and police officers deputed in the control room and gave necessary guidelines.

 

On this occasion, DC-SP visited various areas of Chas sub-division area sequentially. In this sequence, the team of officials visited many other areas including Pupunki, Bharra, Sivandih and Ritudih. The team took stock of the law and order at the Akhada procession sites and instructed the administrative and police officers posted there to remain in alert mode. Also, DC-SP interacted with the intellectuals of the society and the festival organizers and appealed to celebrate the festival in mutual brotherhood, harmony and peaceful environment.

 

While interacting with the people of the society, the DC said that Muharram inspires us to follow the path of sacrifice, patience and justice. Everyone should celebrate this festival with peace, harmony and unity.

 

At the same time, the SP directed the medical team and volunteers to be fully alert so that any kind of emergency situation can be dealt with effectively during the procession / arena game.

 

The DC – SP also inspected the mini control room set up in Ritudih and Sivandih. Where updated information about law and order was received from the deputed magistrate and police officers. Instructed everyone to remain in alert mode. Asked to remain in constant touch with the district control room.

 

At the same time, the DC – SP and other officials also visited the Karbala ground located in Sivandih. Gave necessary guidelines to the central committee members of the event.

 

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mr. Ajay Nath Jha said that the district administration is keeping a close watch on social media. Immediate action will be taken on any post that hurts religious sentiments or spreads rumors. In such cases, the concerned person will be identified and legal action will be taken as per law. Therefore, do not panic like this.

 

On the occasion, Deputy Development Commissioner Shatabdi Majumdar, DPLR Maneka, Additional Collector Md. Mumtaz Ansari, Sub-Divisional Officer Chas Pranjal Dhanda, District Public Relations Officer Ravi Kumar, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Chas Praveen Kumar, City DSP Alok Ranjan, Assistant Public Relations Officer Avinash Kumar Singh, Police Station In-charge of the concerned area, deputed Magistrate – Police Officer and others were present.
